Pablo Salvador

Pablo Salvador (born Pablo Salvador Sepúlveda Montoya on September 10, 1979) won the 2011 International Mr Gay Competition.

Early life

Pablo Salvador has dual nationality (Panamain / Chilean), he was born in Panama City, Panama, the son of a Panamain teacher and Chilean exile by the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. At 15 years old he moved to Santiago de Chile. Pablo has a younger sister anthropologist.

Before entering the Mister Gay Chile contest in 2009, Salvador worked as a Schoolteacher. He has degree in History, (Universidad de Chile). He also planned to complete her Master`s degree in Commnunication (, Barcelona, Spain and Universidad Diego Portales, Santiago, Chile), and continue working in that area.

Pablo was a volunteer worker in the Chilean Corporation for AIDS Prevention (ACCIONGAY). In 2008 he was elected Mister Acciongay.

Mr. Gay Chile

In 2008 November, Pablo participated in the first edition of the Mister Gay Chile contest. At that time he was elected first runner. In 2009 December, Pablo returns to compete for the title of Mister Gay Chile and wins. The jury that chose Pablo Salvador as Mister Gay Chile was led by (Chilean photographer and host of TV).

In 2010 febraury, Pablo represents Chile in the second edition of the Mr Gay World in Oslo, Norway. Pablo`s participation was praised by the press and by the judges, especially in the personal interview.

Returning to Chile, Pablo dedicated his reign as Mister Gay Chile to social causes as the fight against bullying and homophobia, with constant appearances in the press and gay community activities.

In January 2011, Pablo competed in the International Mr Gay Competition. For the first time in the competition involved a Chilean delegate.

International Mr. Gay

Febreaury, 2011. |- From San Francisco, California, the Noble Beast Foundation informs the choice of a new Internacional Mister Gay. The successor of the Swiss Ricco Rimus Muller, is the Chilean Pablo Salvador. The winner said that: "for me it is an honor to represent Chile for the first time in this contest and won the title. I`m grateful for the support of so many persons that vote for me … Now I will continue working for the rights of my community, for the definitive equality, because it is necessary that we all are aware that the diversity us enriches as society and that only being inclusive we will be to be really democratic and happy ".

The International Mr Gay Competition is the first gay contest developed worldwide where persons are selected by his physicist and commitment by the lesbians' human rights, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals. The Chilean delegate adds to the previous winners of this contest who have been the representatives of USA, Israel, Argentina and Switzerland. Pablo Salvador (31) is Schoolteacher of History and Master in Communication, it was imposed in the online voting on 27 men, even of zones where the homosexuality can cost the life as Iran.

The president of the Noble Beast Foundation, Don Sprardlin, said to be " very satisfied with the voting of this year since it is the highest registered in the history of the contest ". as The Second Finalist the delegate of Czech Republic was elected the dancer Martin Goga, ss The First Finalist the student of International Relations Zann Maxwell, of New Zealand.

About the victory of Chile in the contest Rolando Jiménez, President of the MOVILH, the principal gay Chilean organization, said: " We are tremendously happy for the victory of Salvador, the first Chilean who win an international contest of this type. Pablo has demonstrated an excellent availability to fight against the discrimination and also solidarity with the children and girls with HIV / AIDS and / or in social risk.
