Stella Browne
(Frances Worsley) Stella Browne (1880–1955) was an English feminist, socialist, sex radical, and birth control campaigner.
Life
Browne spent some time in Germany before World War I, meeting radical feminists there, such as the circle around Helene Stöcker. Within the Communist Party, Browne called for 'the freedom of sexual relationships from legal or economic coercion', defending abortion and birth control as a fundamental woman's right:
