The General Office of the Communist Party of China (simplified Chinese: 中共中央办公厅; pinyin: Zhōng gòng Zhōng yāng Bàn gōng tīng), full name General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, is an office directly under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in charge of technical and logistic affairs.
The General Office is generally in charge of daily affairs of the CPC Central Committee and the Politburo, though its functions may change basing on circumstances. Although its business is often non-political, its heads have close connections with the Party's top leaders, and usually join the Politburo Standing Committee or the Secretariat after their period leading the General Office.
The General Office's establishment date is uncertain, though it existed by 1942 as was its director at that time; previously, its functions were exercised by the Organization Department or technical secretariats.
