Brian Michael Noble (born 11 April 1936) is the former bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury.

Biography

Born in Lancaster, Lancashire, England, Brian Michael Noble was ordained to the priesthood on 11 June 1960 and served as a priest in the Diocese of Lancaster. From 1973 until 1980 he was the Roman Catholic chaplain at the University of Lancaster.

On 23 June 1995, he was appointed Bishop of Shrewsbury and ordained bishop on 30 August 1995, Archbishop Couve de Murville of Birmingham serving as the Principal Consecrator, with Bishop Patrick Kelly of Salford (now Archbishop of Liverpool) and Bishop John Brewer of Lancaster serving as the Principal Co-Consecrators.

Bishop Noble currently serves as an Episcopal Member of the Department for Christian Life & Worship within the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.

He retired as Bishop of Shrewsbury on 1st October 2010 and was succeeded by Mark Davies.
