Gaman Palem an Indian comic book illustrator. He has illustrated more than 100 Indian children's comics, working mainly on mythological subjects.

Biography

Gaman Palem holds an M.Phil, a Masters degree in journalism and is a visual communication graduate. He became interested in comics at a very young age of two. Later, it just became a passion. He also works in 3D animation, but is more interested in creating graphic novels and comics. Gaman's artistic style is influenced by Indian iconography, combining the traditional illustration techniques of watercolour, pen & ink with modern digital techniques.

Gaman's first series of eight picture books, The Golden Mythology Series, won the National Award for Excellence in Printing Children's Books.

Gaman currently works from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
