Takestan (Persian: تاكستان, also Romanized as Tākestān and Tākistān; formerly, Seyādahan, Sīādehan, Sīahdehān, Siakh-Degen, and Siakhdekhan) is a city in and the capital of Takestan County, in Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2006 census its population was 73,625, in 18,685 families.
Takestan has a railway station on the Teheran-Tabriz line. The name Takestan literally means place of vine-yards.
