Chris Brooks was 15 when he started Hospital Radio in Eastbourne and St Albans as well as university of Hertfordshire's Crush FM.Since then Chris has worked for many stations in the UK, including Chiltern FM, Northants 96, Horizon Radio, Metro Radio, Galaxy 101, Kix 96, Essex FM (where he presented a show with former 5ive member Scott Robinson) and the GWR Group. Chris realised his childhood ambition to work at Capital FM. Chris presented the weekday afternoon show (1pm–4pm) on the rebranded Capital Radio for three years, he stood down in March 2009 to concentrate on his business Yellow Media. He presented weekend shows on the station Saturday 4–7 and Sunday 1–4, until later in the year. In his time at Capital he took the afternoon show to number 1 in London in his last rajar, and is the only presenter to have presented on every show on the schedule.

In 2006, he launched the first interactive radio quiz show 'Cash Call' which aired on the GCAP Media. He lives in Wickford, Essex with his wife Karen, and has three children, Kirsty, Harry and Sam. He supports Watford Football Club (his company is named after Watford's Yellow shirts). He also shares his birthday with his wife.

Popstars: The rivals

Whilst on Capital FM Chris Was the reason for an investigation into the voting system on UK TV Show Popstars: The Rivals It followed many phone calls into his weekend breakfast show that callers were ringing to vote for their favourite artist Javine and couldn't get through.

Poker

Chris appeared in the first ever episode of the poker chat show Heads Up with Richard Herring to discuss his career and his love of poker. He has also appeared on other poker related shows including Sky Poker and got down to the last day of the world poker exchange london open

Trivia

From April 2008 Chris became the voice of Sky Two

In July 2008 he featured in the book 'Holly's Inbox'.

Chris won a Gold at the Sony Radio Awards for his work on Lights Out London for Capital FM

Other work

In late 2008 Chris started the company 'Yellow Media' It provides both radio/presenter training and management.

Since leaving Capital FM, he went on to become a stand-in presenter for Heart Essex, until becoming the drivetime show presenter on Heart Sussex. Chris left Global Radio on the 31st December 2010, and has since become head of programmes for Chance Radio in Essex, where he also hosts the Friday night show.
