Dean Brown, born in Ajax, Ontario was a top ranked junior and national squash player, and now a partner, and Executive Vice President in charge of operations, with the Cambridge Group of Clubs [1] in Toronto.

Dean started his squash career at the Ajax Community Centre under the tutelage of Dennis Goodfellow (now the Head Squash Professional at the Toronto Athletic Club) [2]. Dean won 8 Ontario Junior Championships and competed internationally as a junior player for Canada. As a senior player, Dean achieved a top 10 national singles ranking before a career on the International Squash Doubles Association Professional Tour [3] where he achieved a #2 ranking..

Following his graduation from the University of Western Ontario, Dean worked as the Head Squash Professional of Toronto's Adelaide Club [4], eventually moving to the Cambridge Club [5] where he became the Club's General Manager in 2001. In 2006, Dean moved back to the Adelaide Club as General Manager, where he spearheaded the club's new positioning and a $2M renovation.

In 2008, Dean became a partner in the Cambridge Group of Clubs, joining Clive Caldwell, Bill MacDonell and the late Jack Lawrence . The company owns and operates 4 health clubs in Canada: the Adelaide Club, the Cambridge Club and the Toronto Athletic Club in Toronto, and Canada's oldest Sports Club, Club Sportif MAA in Montreal [6].

Dean is married (to Shannon Clancy) and has two children; daughter, Charlotte (b. 2004) and son, Declan (b. 2007).
